It’s a Mystery: Unhallowed Ground, by Heather Graham

2.0 out of 5 stars Saved by the ghost

A historical house in one of the oldest cities in America, St. Augustine. An attractive single woman, with training in history and forensics, who has loved the house since her childhood and has finally been able to buy it. Skeletons in the walls, never mind the closets! I was hoping for more realism than I found in Unhallowed Ground, which turns out to be a lightweight and predictable romance with a missing person mystery thrown into the mix. The heroine gets herself locked into her own cellar. The hero can’t walk down the street without stumbling across a corpse. The dialog features phrases like, “Don’t come to my room again unless you want sex.”

This could have been so good. But it wasn’t. Enough said.
